writing transformed
Dr. George Gopen, Professor Emeritus of the Practice of Rhetoric at Duke University, approached Eyeline HQ about expanding his esteemed writing consultancy in new directions— beyond its already phenomenal client list. Our initial efforts focused on highlighting his ground-breaking curriculum in three ways: a custom website capturing the elegance of his scholarship; a 3-minute testimonial video featuring highly-credentialed clients touting their remarkable results; and a bold, new tagline— “Writing Transformed”— to convey the power of his method.
Past praise by luminaries— such as actor Alan Alda and Nobel laureate Seamus Heaney— were placed front and center. A professional photographer and a top stylist were engaged to communicate a consistent aesthetic across the brand.
Other work with Dr. Gopen included: post-production on a 12-part video series; securing earned media and appearances at prestigious venues such as 92nd Street Y in New York; and product development based on his curriculum.
a town remembers
Eyeline HQ worked with the city of Graham, North Carolina, to develop a creative initiative for expanding the collection and visitorship of the Graham Historical Museum. As the cornerstone of this innovative project, Julia and VeTalle drew up launch plans for a nationwide competition for young African American artists to create an original artwork commemorating the life story of Wyatt Outlaw, an influential black lawman and politician whose lynching led to the Kirk-Holden war in 1870.
Julia produced a video call for entries and designed a website capable of evolving to support distinct, functional phases: fundraising, contestant entry, artwork submission, and exhibition.
a paradigm shift on the farm
With so much excitement building for alternative farming practices that restore soil health, Eyeline HQ was thrilled to develop strategic content for Necternal, an Idaho-based company positioned to lead this paradigm shift in agriculture with its proprietary plant nectars.
Developed by a farmer and a soil scientist, the Necternal family of products contain all-natural, bioactive compounds for optimizing the health and performance of seeds, plants, and soil. The line also includes water treatment products for dairy and pork producers. Necternal’s technology lessens the need for tillage, reduces harmful nitrogen run-off, and strengthens crops by promoting the vital plant and root structures that nature intended.
Eyeline HQ embraced the challenge of crafting new messaging, design, and communication strategies for this innovative product line amid the current high-stakes regulatory and business landscapes.
solving the problem of sitting
Physical therapist-turned-inventor and Eyeline HQ client, Nancy Forrester, has designed a revolutionary seat that, unlike other ergonomic seating products on the market, allows the user to retain the natural freedom of mobility of the hips and lower back— a key feature of ideal postural alignment that had been thought impossible to achieve in a seated position— until now.
Five years in the making, the AxiMo Seat employs a complex “motion-response axis” mechanism that reduces disc pressure, makes perfect posture effortless, and actually allows the user’s lower vertebrae to receive continuous lubrication from the body’s own synovial fluid, eliminating the pain and stiffness often experienced after sitting for long periods.
Considering that the average American spends 7 hours a day sitting, there’s no question that the AxiMo Seat’s time has come. Eyeline HQ is proud to lead both the branding efforts and the strategic prototype-to-product campaign that will bring the AxiMo to market.
CRAFTING A DIGITAL PRESENCE FOR AN ARTISTS’ COLLECTIVE
There are unique considerations that come into play when artists wish to represent their work online: How faithfully can a digital technology capture an artist’s vision? What can be done to thwart unauthorized reproduction? What is the best way to optimize the appearance of an artwork across multiple devices and browsers?
Eyeline HQ recently helped BorderLens-SW, a Tucson, Arizona-based women’s photography and cinematography collective, work out thoughtful answers to these and other questions for their debut website.
Eyeline HQ created a delicate, low-contrast palette to minimize visual competition with the photography — while layering subtle, desert hues to lend a sense of place. In the spirit of the collective’s work ethos, a rotating editorial spotlight and artist listings based on affiliation timeline, rather than expertise, were made central to the design. In addition to serving as a showcase for future exhibitions, the website will provide an anchor for BorderLens-SW’s social media outreach to sister collectives and the public.
